The Future We Choose: A Centenary Call for Student Voices

UFAW is marking 100 years of advancing animal welfare science with a global centenary initiative: The Future We Choose. As part of this milestone, we’re inviting undergraduate and postgraduate students to help shape the next century of progress.

Share Your Vision

Submit a short 60‑second video responding to the question: “What should the next 100 years look like for animal welfare science?”

We’re looking for your ideas, aspirations and reflections on the future of:

  • research and scientific innovation
  • policy and regulation
  • education and scientific progress
  • the challenges that must be addressed in the century ahead

Be Part of a Global Conversation

Selected submissions will be featured in a special centenary film forming the foundation of a forward‑looking campaign later this year. This is an opportunity to contribute to an international conversation about the future of evidence‑based animal welfare and to be recognised as part of UFAW’s centenary year.

Submit your video here: https://www.videoask.com/foocm4phm

Submission deadline: 31 July 2026.
